Enrollment in
DurhamTechnicalCommunity College Courses
The MCHS student's schedule consists of both high school courses
(taught by certified Durham Public Schools teachers) and DTCC
courses (taught by DTCC faculty). DTCC
has two levels of course offerings:
1)
University Transfer Credit Courses,
2)Non-University Transfer Credit
Courses.
Durham Tech. courses are credited as follows:

For
a student to be accepted into a university transfer credit course, s/he must
attain a minimum score on either of
the following tests: SAT, ACT, or COMPASS. The COMPASS is free
and administered at DTCC. If a
student does not take the test, or does not receive a qualifying score, s/he
may enroll in a non-university transfer credit course only (see DTCC Placement Testing).
All Durham Tech. classes and the use of required
textbooks are free to MCHS students.
